As the school year comes to a close, many Osseo Area Schools are finding ways to bring together staff, families, and scholars to build community and celebrate another year of success. Palmer Lake Elementary School brought together their school community at their End of the Year Celebration with food, activities and summer resources.
“This is just a chance for families to come into the building and connect with staff and check out additional resources that could be helpful over the summer,” kindergarten teacher Alexa Mclain said.
Mclain will be completing her first year with the district. She was excited to be helping at one of the stations called Zones of Regulations. Students used four colors to identify their feelings, and many students identified being in the green and yellow zones which were happy and excited.
“It has definitely been an interesting year, but now that the year is winding down, it has been really fun to get to know the staff and students at Palmer Lake,” Mclain continued.
Mclain is already getting ready for students to return in the fall and is looking forward to the next End of the Year Celebration in 2023.
