Palmer Lake's plans for in person learning

Palmer Lake's plans for in person learning

Dear Palmer Lake Families,

We know this year's transitions have been challenging. Thank you for your support through all of them! We are preparing this week to transition to the in person learning model. Details are as follows:

Wednesday, Jan. 13 - Friday, Jan. 15

  • Students in grades pre-K through fifth will NOT have school. There will not be Google Meets or Seesaw assignments. This is giving all elementary staff time to prepare for the All In-Person learning model.

  • Students in middle school and high school still have class as usual in the Distance Learning model.

Monday, January 18

  • No school for all elementary, middle, and high school students because of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. There will not be Google Meets or Seesaw assignments.

Starting Tuesday, January 19

  • Pre-K, kindergarten, first and second grade students will return to the building for the in person learning model. All teaching will take place in the building Monday through Friday. Masks are required for all students. Masks and face shields are required for all staff. Please be sure to do the daily health screening before students leave for school or the bus stop. Bus route information will be sent to families this week.

  • Third, fourth, and fifth grade students will remain in the distance learning model through the end of January. Teaching and learning will take place through Google Meets and Seesaw, just as it has been.

  • Middle and high school students will continue to be in the distance learning model.

Starting Monday, February 1

  • Pre-K - grade 2 students continue coming to school every day.

  • Third, fourth, and fifth grade students will begin in the in person learning model. All teaching will take place in the building Monday through Friday. Masks are required for all students. Masks and face shields are required for all staff. Please be sure to do the daily health screening before students leave for school or the bus stop.
  • Middle and high school students will continue to be in the distance learning model.

When students return to school, please send with them the plastic tub that was sent home along with the learning supplies. Teachers have sent out a communication stating which supplies should be brought back.

Again, thank you for your continued support as we work through all the changes of this year. The Palmer Lake staff remains committed to providing a high quality education to each of our students; we couldn’t do that without your support. Please call the office at 763-561-1930 if you have questions.

Thank you,
